ELOPEMENT WEDDING AT KINGSHOUSE HOTEL GLENCOE
In the words of Jason and Jana:
Almost the entire reason we decided on Scotland for our elopement is because of how gorgeous it is. We're not getting married in our 20s, so we wanted to do something different. We're a little older, we wanted a bit more uniqueness and flourish to our nuptials, so we decided to do something abroad and we're just embarrassingly fortunate to have 10 friends and family make the trek with us.
We love the Glencoe area and have visited the "Skyfall Road" just across the highway from Kingshouse. We've even got a couple of drone videos from that area. We love the idea of the moodiness of the weather, the dark and mercurial feel with robust yet subdued colours of brown, green, and orange. We're livened by the rain and wind and felt so much at home in the Highlands.
We're having a proper reception back in America in April of next year, and want this video to be a showcase & centrepiece of that reception. We won't be redoing the ceremony, but we'll have something symbolic there and this video will feature prominently. I (Jason) VERY very much love the idea of having a supersized movie trailer-style representation of the ceremony and reception to show off on socials and to our guests in Denver back in America during our reception. Jana's rather keen on it too.
We watched probably 50 different videographer's videos online and nothing seemed to quite capture a wedding ceremony/reception in a style that matched what we love about Scotland as well as you. Oh, plus that sweet sweet drone footage. It feels to us like you've got the complete package. Mastery of cinematography - the drone footage, the handheld camera movement (not quite Paul Greengrass, which is good), the artistry, the editing, the music... It all just seemed perfect.
As I mentioned before, the Scottish highlands are among the most beautiful places we've ever been. It was instantly incredibly special to us when we visited in 2019. It's incredibly romantic, and a very unique place to get married - especially for Americans. We can't think of anything better.
