Intimate Elopement on the Skyfall Road, Glen Etive

When Hannah and Jeremiah envisioned their wedding day, they knew they wanted something deeply personal, intimate, and surrounded by nature’s grandeur. With no guests, no rigid timelines, and no distractions, their elopement at the iconic Skyfall Road in Glen Etive was the perfect reflection of their love—raw, adventurous, and uniquely theirs.

Why Glen Etive?

Nestled in the Scottish Highlands, Glen Etive is known for its dramatic landscapes, winding roads, and cinematic beauty—famously featured in James Bond’s Skyfall movie. For Hannah and Jeremiah, it wasn’t just about the breathtaking views but about finding a place that felt grounding and peaceful. Their dream was to exchange vows in a setting that felt as timeless and boundless as their love.

The Morning of the Elopement

The couple got ready together in the cosy Riverbeds Luxury Wee Lodges, tucked away in Woodlands, Glencoe. With mist rolling over the hills and the scent of pine in the air, the morning was calm and filled with quiet excitement. Hannah’s bouquet, a wild and foraged arrangement of ivory, browns, and greens by Fior, perfectly complemented the rugged landscape.

A Ceremony Like No Other

At 2 PM, they made their way to the ceremony spot at Skyfall Road, where their humanist celebrant, Samantha Conroy, guided them through a heartfelt exchange of vows. Their ceremony was steeped in Scottish tradition, featuring a handfasting ritual and an oath on stone—a symbol of their enduring commitment. With no guests present, the moment was deeply personal, shared only with the mountains, the sky, and the rolling glens.

Capturing the Magic

We’ve worked alongside Leanne Heron Photography many times, from grand wedding productions to intimate elopements like this one. There’s a level of trust, banter, and creative energy between us that always brings out the best in each other—and in the couples we work with. Our collaborative approach ensures that every moment is captured in a way that feels natural, cinematic, and deeply personal. We don’t just document the day; we create an experience that’s fun, relaxed, and full of genuine moments.

An Evening to Themselves

After adventuring through the rugged landscapes for portraits, the couple returned to their lodge to change into evening attire. They later shared a quiet, candlelit dinner at Sonas Restaurant in Fort William, a moment of reflection on the day’s beauty.

Why They Chose to Capture It on Film

With no family or friends in attendance (a decision they made together), Hannah and Jeremiah knew that having a beautifully crafted wedding film would allow them to relive the magic and share it with loved ones for years to come. Their film, “Till Death IX.XXV.MMXXIV”, is not just a keepsake—it’s a testament to their love story, a reminder of the vows they made in the heart of the Scottish wilderness.
