Intimate South African wedding
Intimate South African wedding on the Isle of Skye in Scotland. Why do you want to capture your wedding on video?Choosing to get married this way in Skye was a tough one. We wanted to create a special memory for our families (especially Kath's Dad who hasn't been well, and whose heart has always been in the Scottish Highlands) but at the same time, it meant we wouldn't be able to have many of the friends and extended family with us. Capturing the wedding on video is our way of making sure those who can't be with us, still get a real sense of what it was like. Why did you pick us?Brad's Mom, Sandy, actually came across your site, and she shared it with me. Once we'd seen your work, nothing else came close. We loved your cinematic treatment and the way your videos were anything but 'standard' wedding videos. How did you meet?Brad and I have actually known each other from school, we're both from the same small town in the Eastern Cape in South Africa, called Grahamstown. We met in an after-school computer science class in about 2004. I didn't do the class for very long, but after being a wing-woman for one of my friends who liked Brad, he and I became friends. And we had a spark from the start and always stayed in touch even when we were on different continents. Took us a while to officially start dating, but we've been together since 2009.Photographer : Danny BirrellCinematographer : Cinemate FilmsDress : Megan Bailey AtelierHair and makeup : Skye BeautyGroom's full outfit : Island at the EdgeCelebrant : Neil LynchGetting ready venues : One Mill Lands, Uig. | The Gatehouse, RomesdalDinner venue : Greshornish HousePiper : Alan MackenzieFlowers : Carole's Florist SkyeFollow us on SocialYouTubeFacebookInstagramMusic Licensed at Music Bed
