Intimate wedding at The Secret Herb Garden in Edinburgh
An intimate wedding at The Secret Herb Garden in Edinburgh with a beautiful reading from the bride's sister. Why do you want to capture your wedding on video? We want to be able to remember the day, remember how we felt on the day, and capture the Secret Herb Garden environment, summery Scottish beauty, and magic of our warm and intimate wedding.A bit about you, what do you do, how do you spend your time? What’s important in life?Chris: What's important- family, friends. I work (as a chartered accountant); I come home; I spend time with my fiancee and the cat. It's a simple life, but I enjoy it. On the weekends, do I go sky diving, knife fighting? No. I grab a beer and watch TV, spend time with Erin and I'm happy.Erin: I just finished my second degree at Edinburgh Napier, now I work as a Games Master at the Harry Potter escape rooms (among many other jobs: festival/non profit volunteer, theatre reviewer, conference host, etc.) What's important in life? Integrity, honesty, love, family, friends, gratitude, little moments of joy and magic. You can find those every day if you look for them. I think it was Roald Dahl who initially said, "If you don't believe in magic, you'll never find it." Well, I believed that I would find something magical when I first moved to Scotland in 2016, but finding Chris exceeds all my dreams. I spend my time laughing at his jokes, cuddling the cat, and taking Chris along to see as much theatre, music, performance as I can. Even though I miss my family back in America every day (thank goodness for FaceTime), I've never been as happy as I am right now!Tell us about the proposal:We had just gotten back from Iceland, on a birthday trip I planned for Chris. He wanted to propose with the Northern Lights above us, apparently, but we were never lucky enough to see them. The day we got back, he took me out to breakfast at our first date spot, The Fountain, and we had the entire restaurant to ourselves! He sweetly proposed and we had celebratory prosecco at the table where we first met (in person, at least).
