Letter Reading, Glencoe Elopement Film || Breath Mountain Air || Cinemate Films

If you're dreaming of an unforgettable elopement in the stunning landscapes of Scotland, there's no better place than Glencoe. Nestled in the heart of the Highlands, this iconic location provides the perfect backdrop for a deeply personal and meaningful wedding experience. And as Scotland’s top elopement filmmakers, we had the absolute pleasure of capturing Laura and Marcus’s intimate elopement at the foot of Glencoe’s Three Sisters mountains.

A Glencoe Elopement to Remember

Laura and Marcus chose Glencoe for their elopement, saying their vows surrounded by nature and a handful of close friends. As they stood at the foot of the majestic Three Sisters, they weren’t alone in their joy. Out of frame, a group of respectful tourists gathered nearby, silently watching the couple’s beautiful ceremony. When the two sealed their love with a kiss, the whole hillside erupted in cheers, adding an extra touch of magic to their already perfect day.

A Quiet, Emotional Evening

As the day faded into evening, the soft light of the setting sun filled the forest, creating the ideal setting for a heartfelt moment between Laura and Marcus. In this serene atmosphere, they exchanged personal, handwritten letters filled with promises and emotion—a moment we were honoured to capture on film. It’s moments like these that make being elopement videographers in Scotland so special.

Why They Chose Cinemate Films for Their Elopement Video

When asked why they picked us to capture their elopement, Laura and Marcus said:
“We were googling elopement videographers in Scotland when Cinemate popped up. We loved their style of film and editing. With our background in arts and media, we really wanted a film that had an aesthetic purpose—something that captured the landscape and atmosphere, not just a raw recording of events.”

As a couple who appreciates both storytelling and artistry, Laura and Marcus were looking for a Scottish elopement videographer who could create a timeless, cinematic experience, and we’re thrilled they trusted us to deliver that vision.

How Laura & Marcus Met

Laura, originally from Canada, and Marcus, from Sweden, both found themselves in London after moving for work. Despite being strangers in a new city, fate brought them together on a dating app—although they tell Laura’s mum they met “randomly” on Christmas Day! Their first date was in Hyde Park on Christmas, and the rest, as they say, is history.

Why They Chose Scotland for Their Elopement

For Laura and Marcus, Scotland was the perfect place for their elopement. They wanted somewhere outdoors, natural, and full of stunning landscapes that felt like home, even if they had only visited once before. Glencoe’s dramatic beauty made it the ideal location for their intimate celebration.
As one of the most breathtaking locations in the Scottish Highlands, Glencoe offers couples the chance to elope surrounded by rugged mountains, enchanting forests, and a rich history. It’s no wonder why so many couples are choosing Scotland for their elopements, and we’re always excited to film these unforgettable moments.
